Needs-Centric Culture
From the beginning, we have been guided not by technology for its own sake but by the needs of people with spinal cord injuries.
Our research started not in the lab but alongside patients and caregivers to understand what truly matters.
This needs-centric culture continues to guide us, ensuring every innovation at TWIICE is rooted in listening first and building solutions that restore motion and make independence more achievable.
Meet the Team
Tristan Vouga
CEO and Co-founder
Tristan is an expert in robotics with a background in Microengineering. He dedicated his PhD in the
development of the Lean Synthesis framework—a methodology that enables cost-efficient and rapid
product development. This expertise has been instrumental in accelerating Twiice’s transition from research to industrialization. As CEO, he leads the company’s strategic vision, fundraising, and ensure efficient product development while optimizing resources. His ability to balance technical innovation with business needs allows TWIICE to remain agile in a highly regulated industry.
Jemina Fasola
COO and Co-founder
Jemina holds a PhD in human factors and human motor control, bringing a deep understanding of user-centered design and clinical validation. As COO, she ensures that TWIICE’s exoskeleton aligns with user needs, regulatory requirements, and industrial feasibility. She also leads the upcoming conformity trial in the U.S., a critical step toward FDA clearance. Her experience in human-machine interaction is key to optimizing the exoskeleton’s usability and adoption in real-world scenarios.
Roland Loos
Chairman and Co-founder
Roland was part of the team that successfully managed the sale of ITC Global to Panasonic Avionics Corporation. Following this, he dedicated his expertise to supporting young companies in their development. He is also the CEO of the SolarStratos project, an ambitious initiative aiming to reach the stratosphere in a solar-powered aircraft and explore future applications of this technology. As a co- founder and Board Chairman of TWIICE he brings strategic leadership and entrepreneurial experience to guide the company’s growth.
Christel Prod’hom Stehlin
Administrative Assistant
Certified Accounting Assistant with experience in bookkeeping, reporting, office operations, scheduling, document management, and executive support.
Helder Rodrigue
Senior Industrial Design Engineer
Helder specializes in mechatronics and industrialization of medical devices. He is responsible for refining the exoskeleton’s structure, ensuring that it meets both technical and regulatory constraints while remaining user-friendly. His role bridges the gap between prototype development and large-scale manufacturing, optimizing the device for durability, weight, and ease of use.
Ruiliang Lin
Embedded Systems Engineer
Ruiliang is an expert in embedded electronics, firmware, and software development, bringing agility and efficiency to Twiice’s control system architecture. His work ensures that the exoskeleton operates safely and reliably, with optimized sensor integration, motion control, and power efficiency. He also specializes in electrical safety compliance for medical devices, ensuring that the exoskeleton meets stringent regulatory standards. His ability to develop both firmware and software rapidly is key to TWIICE’s ability to iterate efficiently and integrate new features seamlessly.
Moving the world, step by step
